Day 24
Tuesday 28th August: Day 24
I’ve completed 245 miles!!!!! Omg so close haha. The last week or so has been tough; I’m bored of my commute, I miss having a lie in on a Saturday, I had a bit of trouble with my gears and had to take my bike in to get looked at (it’s okay, he’s fine!) and I’ve been getting a bit of back ache from hunching over my handlebars.
However the positives are that I’ve lost weight, I’ve had to cut down on booze dramatically so I’m the healthiest I’ve been in probably 10 years, I sleep like a baby, aaaaaaaannnnd I’ve raised a tonne of money for Cancer Research!
Uncle Alex... this one’s for you 🤘🏼

Saturday 25th August: Day 22
Tom and I went down to Pembrokeshire for the weekend to find some new routes. The Tour of Britain is starting on September 2nd from Pembrey Country Park and finishing in Newport, so we thought we’d check out the Wales Closed Road Circuit in Pembrey - a mile long track completely tarmaced and enclosed so you can do timed laps. This was great for 7 laps but got boring very quickly so we ended up cycling along the coast past Burry Port, Llanelli and ended in Gowerton then turned round and cycled into a headwind the entire way home 😅 34 miles ✅ #jellylegs
